Description:
Patsy Durack registered his cattle brand, 7PD, in 1856 before his epic 4,800km, three-year cattle drive from Queensland to the far north of Western Australia. The Durack Homestead was dismantled and rebuilt on higher ground to make way for the damming of the Ord River in the early 1970s; it is now an historical museum near Lake Argyle.
