Katherine Gorge, in the Northern Territory’s Nitmiluk National Park, is home to tens of thousands of little red and black flying fox. They roost in huge camps during the day, though with all the noise and jockying for position that takes place, a series of naps is the best they can hope for. Their role as pollinators is critical to many of Australia’s ecosystems.
