Central Bearded Dragon (Pogona vitticeps), Northern Territory, Australia
A central bearded dragon is removed from the sealed Stuart Hwy where it was sunning itself; after being placed in a far safer spot well off the road, the photographer/rescuer indulged in a few photos. The black colour of the beard indicates that the dragon was stressed by the incident. *Scan of 35mm slide.
