Fifty-one carbonised statues, rendered from full body scans of the citizens of Menzies, now inhabit the dried salt bed of Lake Ballard. The statues were created by Antony Gormley for Perth's 2003 Arts Festival in Western Australia; each statue invites you over and then sends you on to the next "being" in that lonely landscape. *Editorial use only.
