A humpback whale (Megaptera novaeangliae) rolls over on its back and waves/slaps its flippers in the protected waters of Queensland’s Great Sandy Marine Park. Whales visit Platypus Bay on their migration south to rest and nurture their calves (born further north). *Note tubercles along edge of flippers. Off Fraser Island, Australia.
