A humpback whale (Megaptera novaeangliae) drifts upside down with its tail above the water (tail sailing) in the protected waters of Queensland’s Great Sandy Marine Park. Her calf stays close by. Whales visit Platypus Bay on their migration south to rest and nurture their calves (born further north). Off Fraser Island, Australia.
