A pair of Cape Barren geese (Cereopsis novaehollandiae) forage in a field with a number of other geese at Flinders National Park on South Australia’s Kangaroo Island. This species was on the brink of extinction on the 1950s, but with protection and conservation initiatives its status is now secure.
