A male black flying fox (Pteropus alecto), aka black fruit bat, hangs upside down in its roosting tree amoung a huge camp (or colony) of bats. They all fly off at dusk to feed on the pollen and nectar of native plants. They play an essential roll in pollination. Kununurra, Western Australia.
