A male red kangaroo (Macropus rufus), rescued by the Kangaroo Haven after being shot by a farmer, is partially blind and cannot be returned to the wild. He will remain at the Haven for the rest of his life. Kununurra, Western Australia. Kangaroos dig indentations in the sand so they can lie down and stay cool.
